Textures
« on: April 04, 2008, 03:35:02 PM »

Well I've been searching around this website and I found a texture that I liked. I saved it and opened it in Photoshop with another file I will used with the texture-but the problem is, whenever I drag the texture onto the picture I want it on, it's very small, and I'm not so sure how to resize or make it bigger... Annoyed

.........So that would be great if someone could help  Sad

Maybe the picture you want to put the texture on is zoomed out, and the texture become smaller on the picture because of this.
Or it could be the texture is already really small, or maybe even icon size O___O

Resizing textures is never a good thing because like any resized image, the quality is loss. (Unless you're resizing it smaller.) Your texture would no longer have its "texture" if made bigger...  Stressed

I suggest you find a new one if that is indeed its actual size...

It could possibly be the images you're creating is the problem. You might be setting a higher DPI or changing the sizing method to something like inches instead of pixels. When you hit ctrl+n for a new image, check to make sure your settings are correct for the size and the DPI is set to 72.

Yes I think that might be the problem-pixels instead of inches... well thank you for the help! I'll be sure to try those suggestions. Smiley
