1  Web Development / Coding / Yea, MESSED UP layout... on: October 09, 2006, 05:06:43 PM
Okay, I used the div layout tutorial to code a layout I'm making, and something is totally messed up with the alignment.

Here's a link to a version:

http://noellayout.atspace.com/

Annnnnd here's the code:

Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>PUT YOUR TITLE HERE!</title>

<meta>

<style>
<body>
</style>

</head>

<body bgcolor="#0C3661" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0"

marginheight="0" background="images/background.jpg>

<ImageReady>
<table>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>
<img></td>
</tr>
</table>
<End>

<div>Write

your text and content here</div>

<div>Write your text and content here</div>
</body>
</html>

I have absolutley no idea what's wrong, so if anyone could help me, I'd be really happy~
2  Web Development / Coding / Why, oh why is my text not working with me? on: July 08, 2006, 10:12:28 AM
It's coming your way. ^^
3  Web Development / Coding / Why, oh why is my text not working with me? on: July 05, 2006, 09:27:00 PM
Umm...  I have el problemo.  For some reason, my text is simply no going the the text box I've been so kind to make for it. xD

CLICKY HERE

Now, I think this problem is only on Opera and Firefox.  I'm not quite sure, because my IE isn't working, so....

Code:

Code:
<html>
<center>
<head>
<title>V I V A T // v. 1</title>
<style>
<body>
</style>
<meta>
</head>
<body>

</tr>
</table>
<map>

<area>

<area>
</map>
<End>

<div><font><p><b>W E L C O M E !</b><br>. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .</center></font></p><p>Hello, and welcome to <b><i>VIVAT</i></b>, a fansite for <b>Mulan</b>, from <b>Mulan</b> and <b>Mulan II</b>. =)  You Re currently viewing version 1, which is titleless.  This site is best viewed in Internet Explorer, in 1280x1024 screen resolution (because I have a demented monitor.)  However, it can be viewed in other resolutions effectively.  In this fansite, you will find a variety of information about the movies, Mulan as a Disney character, and the "real" Mulan.  Also, the media section is home to many Mulan goodies, free for use (with credit, of course).  =D
</p><br><br><p><b>UPDATES-</b><br>7/04/06: Finished the layout! =)  Not much reason for this update, seeing as no one will really know the difference, but that's okay, because I'm bored and the fireworks don't start until 10 p.m., which is in 3 hours.  This layout 'tis a bit iffy, but it'll do.  ^^</p>
</div>

</body>
</html>

'Nd... That's it!  If anyone could tell me what's wrong, I'd be really greatful.

(btw, if it's because I centered it... shucks.)

6  Web Development / Coding / Tables help.... on: January 01, 2006, 01:47:20 AM
Okay, I swear I posted this before, but it just sort of.... disappeared. If someone could tell me if and why it was deleted, I'd be grateful.

Now onto the real question.... I made a table layout, and it's really prettyful and all, but the background-repeat thing isn't working..... I accidentally saved it as a .gif, but I changed my code so it would correspond with that.

Code:

Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>Untitled-1</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859

-1">

marginheight="0">

My problems are that the backround thing doesnt repeat, and the layout isn't positioned to the left, as in it's not on the egge. There are a couple pixels between the edge and the layout. Help? ^^;

This is going to kill me, I swear.

I followed the Div layout tutorial perfectly ( I think ), but when I load all of my stuff onto Geocities, the images won't show! I can't figure out why in the world this is happening. I've also tried it on Freewebs, but it's the same.

Erm, this was on the website, and when I clicked on the link, it just led me to the main forum page. If this has already been made a topic, I'm terribly sorry, I need new glasses.

How do you make a dashed border?
