Oh! do you mean on Photoshop.
Simple. There are many ways to fix that. Well the way I usually do it is

Select the image. [You can do that by clicking ctrl a]
Then Copy the image [ctrl c]
Then open a new file of your favorable size then paste the image [ctrl v]

OR

The easier way is right click on the locked layer.
Then chose "Layer from Background"
Then something should pop up and then click Ok!
Then everything should be just fine. :D

Hmmm. I didn't do so well folowing that tutorial. Though somehow I did got thru it.

But then I do agree with Straive. If your new to HTML starting with Simple DIV is probably the best. Their simple and get you to know html better.
