Opinions on my chalice?

Alright I don't remember where exactly I found the background image but here it is. It cut out the chalice for this website layout I'm trying to make but I feel a bit weird about the chalice I'm using. So I edited it and well... I need an opinion on which is better! (On terms of color n such) Original or Mine?

The first one is without a doubt the better. The colours are much less washed out, and the element of dark just kind of adds to the whole thing... the lighter versioned one just doesn't look as good.

The first one is better. If you want the effect of the glare, just go over it really fast with a very soft highlight tool.

Actually I disagree, I personally think the second one looks better. The first image has more detail, but the brightness of the second image adds to the feel of the image.

Well both of them gives a different feeling in it. I would like the 2nd one better because it more clear to the eye.
