need help

my fiance has some old files that are not JPEG the r ART is there any way to convert those other than using paint?

Hmm, you mean teh file extentsion is .art? I've never heard of that extension before. x.x I suggest you go into the program that created the file and see if there is any way to save it differently.

he says internet explorer was the original program that they were saved by.  he got them off of yahoo groups.  and a lot of the groups r shut down now.

i am sorry but i have the fantasy theme and it's black background.  and i really don't care for white that much.  that's what shows up when i type normally.  again i am very sorry about that.

I don't think I ever had one of them, that extension is not even listed on my computer. Anyways, I found this:

hmm...i've seen files with .art extensions before.(though, i have no idea what program they stem from xD)
umm...whether you can change the format on Paint i'm not exactly sure (you can try, it's probably possible, however the quality of the image may go down^^; )
if i remember though, .art image files can be changed without altering picture quality on Photoshop

Sometimes my IE gets wierd and only lets me save things as .art but no matter what i do i can't open them  :evil:

Did you ever try renaming the file... but changing the extention name on it as well, to jpg or whatever, I've had stuff like that happen but all I do is change .art or whatever into .jpg using the rename. Try that and it migth work.
