Need Help: Frames/iFrames: One more problem!
«

Hello.
I think I need is the content frame.
When I add it, the whole layout breaks.
Could anyone help?
Here are things I'd like not to be changed, but added, it's fine:
My CSS:
Code:
A:link,A:visited
{
text-decoration: none;
font-weight: none;
color: #000000;
border-top: none;
border-bottom: none;
border-top: none;
border-bottom: none;
}
A:hover
{
text-decoration: none;
font-variant: none;
background: none;
font-weight: none;
color: #FFFFFF;
cursor: crosshair;
}
body,td
{
text-align: justify;
margin: 0px;
background-repeat: repeat;
background-position: center;
scrollbar-face-color: #000000;
scrollbar-shadow-color: #000000;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #000000;
scrollbar-3dlight-color: #000000;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #000000;
scrollbar-track-color: #000000;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #FFFFFF;
direction: ltr;
font-size: 8pt;
color: #000000;
font-family: Tahoma, Verdana;
line-height: 13px;
cursor: crosshair;
}
.head
{
background-color: #000000;
height: 18px;
padding-top: 0px;
font-weight: none;
color: #FFFFFF;
letter-spacing: 0px;
font-variant: small-caps;
font-size: 8pt;
text-align: center;
font-family: Tahoma, Verdana;
border-top: dotted #FFFFFF 1px;
border-bottom: dotted #FFFFFF 1px;
}
If you need to add anything, please do.
Otherwise, please don't change the colors or the fonts.
Another thing I must explain is that this site is a applying site.
I will use this site to apply for a REAL website.
I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear in the beginning.
The link "Hostess" is my link back to my hostess which is usually a girl.
But if not, I will change it to 'Host'.
This is a FreeWebs account so I'd appreciate it if you could adjust to FreeWebs.
I don't want any scripts installed into it.
I'd like to do that myself!
^_^
Thank for trying to help though.
I thought I needed to make those things clear.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
^_^
EDIT:
Thank you, EternalSnow for helping me with all my problems!
But now, I have one more problem.
When I type things for my divider, it does not work.
For example, if I type Terms of Use it will break into 2 lines, ruining the whole layout.
But when I put Avatars, it's aligned perfectly and the way I want it to be.
Can anyone help?

The CSS page isn't very useful when it can't be compared to the html (or PHP) page. Can you give the code for that page, also?

Looking at your code, I'm not really sure where the problem is or what you mean by everything breaking. I placed the code up myself and the layout looked perfect, minus the images. The only inconsistency I can see is your links are targeted for "_parent" rather than for the name you gave the frame, which is "main."

Hm..
Okay!
^_^
If I fix that, will the images not have a "Broken" effect?
My main goal is to get rid of that!

Do you have a picture or working view of the layout so we can see the broken images?

I think so.
Just a picture with all the slices together in place?
Here you go then:

My fault, I wasn't very clear. Can you show us a screenshot of the layout with the problems or give an actual link to the working layout which shows the problems with the images?
(Very nice layout, by the way)

From what I can see (no expert on iframes, so I could be entirely wrong) is that the iframe appears to be larger than the td it is in, which expands the Thus moves everything else according to its own size. Try shrinking the size of the iframe to see if it will fit inside its respective td.
Also, when using tables and tds in never hurts to have this code in you CSS page:
Code:
td { vertical-align: top; }
I also recommend an auto scrolling rather than the word yes, which will cause the annoying lower scrolling bar to disappear and give the information more room.
Code:
scrolling="auto"

Thank you!
I tried to minimize the iFrame, but it still didn't work..
I minimized it to 325 by 295.
Would that be enough or more?
Thank you very much again for the scrollbar trick!

I'm not sure if minimizing the frame made any difference, so I was curious if you noticed any difference. Also, the div tag the iframe is nested in may be causing the frame to expand, since divs are known to have margins. If the div isn't being used, I recommend you delete it and any others which aren't necessary.

I tried to take the DIV tags off as well.
It made the images even MORE apart.
I'm sorry if this is irritating you!!!
Thank you VERY much for taking your time to help me!

I found your problem. Within the CSS page in the div class main there is this code:
Code:
padding:10px
Delete it and your layout should look perfect.
