Question about using layouts/crediting. [Mod please?]

I would much prefer if like a moderator or something like that would answer...

But I was wondering of it's okay if we could use a layout, then change like the graphics. Like let's say I thought that a layout was nicely made from a series I didn't like. Could I use it and just change the graphics to something else? But of course leave credit?

Because I just found about this website recently, and made an account today....so I'm not sure. I see this:

Please do not modify the layout and then claim them as yours, as I spent effort and time designing it myself.

But it doesn't say that we can't modify the layout but leave credit.

So...Bottom Line:

Can I modify a layout as long as I leave credit to Celestial Star?

You would need to ask the layout's designer. You may send him/her a PM.

If it's a layout I made (if it says designer: Melfina), you may modify it, I've got no problem with that, but if it's not one of my layouts, you must ask the designer as I said.
