How To Get a Header Image?

I need Need i just created a DIV style layout to upload but my header background image will not work.
Please Some Help Me?
I have tried everything i can think of.

well i am using CSS and I have dont it before but i cant do now. And i am using the coding as before.

Here is the coding from my css


.header {font-family:arial, verdana, tahoma; font-size: 15px; font-weight:none; color:#097938;
text-align: center; border: 1px solid #008000; background-image:url('images/buttonback.gif');}

and I am using
<p class="header"> </P> for the header text

is it that the words come out right but the image doesn't?

MAte Just the word not the background image

Check the url on the background image to make sure it is correct.

it is correct but i have fixed the problem but my friend is still having the same problem

sometimes you have to specify a height or width... try doing that..

when words are ok but not the image, its usually the img source so check the url.try using an image hosted on the internet rather than on your computer.its more stable that way
