Extracting (lasso tool)
« on: February 18, 2006, 11:06:31 AM »

I did extracting with polygonal lasso, I thought I was selecting nicely, but somehow the outlines remain the color of backgrounds, AND when I tried to fix it, I kind of made the hair style look weird, I mean it cut more than it should have,... I saw this tutorial today of magnetic lasso tool on site, she has made selection just near outline like I did. Any suggestions? I even tried to do away the green background outlines through magic wand. but no help.

Try feathering the selection inwards, just slightly. It might help rid the image of the background ^^

one thing I needed to ask more, its not related to this, but when I went to ur website http://www.fiery-dreams.com/main.php and also another one summer-skies.net, the content is not visible to be in the left. I mean the site in left is not visible but here celestial star and all other sites are visible in left, is it just my computer, or any one else is going thru same problem?

Oh and thanks for the above suggestion, I'll try it out and see how it goes..Smiley

I don't quite get what you mean, but there isn't supposed to be anything to teh far left. The content is situated to the right, and there is only on navagation (to the far right), and then the main content (which is in the middle). In the case of summer skies, the content is to teh far right, and the navagation is on the top and the center. There isn't supposed to be anything to teh left =)

wow! to me it appears in far left, the nav is in right.. weird isn't it? What could be wrong, is it that my computer isn't compatible to something?
but do u know coz I wanted to see ethereal tutorial, i copied it, and pasted it into my computer as html file, and it came fine, though i didn't copy source...
computer world keeps surprising me o_O. But it's not fair, they are so good websites, and I can't have fun seeing them for my comp is playing tricks, i do have ie6.0 what could be wrong, any ideas?

Pen tutorial is hard to understand for me, coz I never used that tool.

No, it works fine with IE 6, I've tested it before and I just tested it now. x.x

I really have no idea what could be wrong... x.x

As for the pen tutorial, this tutorial might help you understand the pen tool better:

Yes I know it works fine, it's my computer... must be that I didn't enable something on it, or I don't know... if I had done computer course on css and html and if I were a Webmaster ( the one who gets diploma) I might have known the cause of it,... But u know Blackstone when I saw your website, I went into layout category, and one layout of you appeared fine, it
was table design - dangerous elegance ( good layout by the way!) The content there and navigation appeared fine, maybe div layer are acting weird. Although divs are the way to go for website stuff as far as strict xhtml1.0 is concerned.
Oh and I'll try the pen tutorial, thanks ... Smiley
