Div Layout 1 - Paintshop
« on: August 05, 2006, 08:59:02 AM »

Hey! Only just started with paintshop so I'm...  :? hehe

On http://celestial-star.net/tutorials/read/35/ (the tutorial about div layouts) it uses photoshop, but i've managed to do most ofit in Paintshop, apart from the last little bit (finding info about a shape - coordinates, dimensions, and the single row marquee tool). Does anyone know how to do that on Paintshop 8.

Thanks!

Yeah, PSP doesn't have all those nice features. xD What I normally do is use the crop tool (I have PSP as well). It gives you the size of the area you are cropping in it's toolbar thingy, so just pretend like you're going to crop an area (say... from the left edge of the image, to the line where you want to text to start), and it will give you how many pixels away from the edge the text area is.

Does that make sense?

I sometimes do it trying dimensions until it's on place ~_~ but yes, Blackstone's method is better xD

Yeah, random dimensions is a fun way, as long as you know pixels pretty well and you don't get frustrated easily. xD

Okie dokie, glad you got it sorted out. ^^
