A poem by me!

So many sleepless I spend,
Afraid to dream of you,
For, then my hopes will rise,
I'll pay the price,
Knowing I wont last against sleep too long,
I pray that Morning comes along.

But, Sleep must catch on,
With his soothing song,
Said he"Resistance is futile,
Besides my dream might make you smile".

But then I wake,
And my heart aches,
The sea of calm has too soon gone,
And too soon has morning come along


How long will this go on,
How long will you be gone,
How many lonely nights will it take,
To numb me to this heart ache?

Another day has come to an end,
And Sleep claims to be my friend,
Again
Its the first poem I've attempted to write. I personally feel its uninspirational. please comment :D be brutally honest....maybe not TOO brutally hones

I'm not that good with writing poems. But all I can say is that, in my eyes, you've done a very good job on your first try. ^__^;

I love it. Good composition. :)

So many people can relate to this poem, it's almost frighteningly sad.
My poems consist of the stray thoughts that link themselves to each other in a twisting, maddening way.

This is a nice break. Haha.
